duel of the fates (London Symphony Orchestra)

Rms 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose.

We believe; Lord, help our unbelief.

But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part, for a hero's strength is measured by his heart
~ Go the Distance, OST Hercules

not for the good, but for God
I didn't realise there was a bigger task than packing for the coming months, but there is: deciding which memorabilia from the past to keep, and which to throw. I finished the former sooner than expected, but was forced to linger on the items of the latter.

Memories aren't so easy to discard, especially (ironically) those 'bad' ones that should be discarded. Choosing what to bring along for the future revealed the necessity to clean out my closet, lay the cards on the table, stir up the dust, what else you will, and re-evaluate where I stood in the present.

Perhaps it's not so much discarding the rotten apples; I realise the core doesn't hurt as much as it used to, and am able to let the bad stand among the good, cherishing the lessons of Time.

When the dust settles I'll give my room a good vacuum.

Keep it simple.

In the end, the important thing is what we had at the very start - to listen up to what the Lord is trying to tell us and let Him work in us.

Song of the week:You're Beautiful

Fr Stevie Wonder said to me today:

You've just got to say 'no' to some, and pray that if God wants you to attend to them He'll show you clear signs.
~On attending to the community

You don't meet their expectations, you meet God's.
~On the others' expectations of you

Hi-ho, Hi-ho, it's off to work we go

Oh yes, a striking line from Fr E. Vaz on Tuesday:

We must always be attached to God.
~God and us

I therefore derived the fact that I am attached.
geddit geddit?

Amen.
Conrad's horror is my irony; so near and yet so far.

I looked so hard for it (must have been 2 hours now) and it was within reach all the while. Maybe it's a sign I should give it up.

Because finding it made me realise how inadequate my desire was, how my and not His, how it is not the best thing.

I knew I'd forgotten someone on the hit list: Murphy's Law.
It was Mr Hil after all. Luckily he's forgiving (must curry favour a bit, 'paw' him so as to avoid wrath). missing for weeks while his design was paraded by an hundred youths. if found, please contact fashion police.

And then there were two: Ben Long's pinch is atrocious! he'd better not find out I forgot his name too.

Was never true love loved in vain,
For truest love is highest gain.
No art can make it: it must spring
Where elements are fostering.
