thanks for the SURPRISE! It was a great big humongous one, the biggest one of my life, I assure you! Thank goodness no one took photos of the gogle-eyed gaping-mouthed initial expression, 'cos I think my heart just stopped when I saw 25 insane people in my living room. ok, insanely kind enough to give me a party that I won't forget. thank you, loads and loads. nothing would have made it better because you ALL were there, from the ones so busy I didn't expect to see (like chan) to the long-standing ones (like dre moli and chand- "it's never gonna to die, it's gonna live, in each of us!") to the best secret-keepers ever who are filled with so much energy they just tear houses down and scare neighbours with carols and games (like the ones I were with 36 hours before and never leaked a word! inclusive of mum and dad)
big hugs to the game-masters and the photographers and the food-lovers (I hope that includes everyone!)

A thousand apologies to those I have not replied to yet in the mail!

Have been preparing to see my supervisor yesterday, and after the meeting went home to sleep for a RECORD (it has to be) of 18 hours! whew.
then! I've just spent the last 3 hours in the city centre, in a mad rush before the shops close at 6.30pm (that's late closing already, due to christmas)
and! managed to get 10 presents at 8 different places! (and nearly had asthma attacks twice)

Therefore, will endevour to reply asap!

Though, you're right. Christmas isn't about sales and shopping and wrapping and giving material things. It's about eating and watching good tv programmes and getting presents. haha! Just kidding. For me it's being with my family.

It's over!

The final lecture, the presentation I spent sleepless nights over, the last 4.30pm departure from uni this year.
That's a term gone by, 10 weeks of nights up, days in, fears and accomplishments.
I'm glad I wasn't alone, and am blessed to have shared these with my fellow comrades, wonderful companions, solitaire-obssessing, gospel-singing friends.

Oddly, even though this marks the beginning of (more?) work towards the January exams, I am relieved.

The adrenaline's still rushing, but I hope to crash tonight.

now that I've come to the point of acceptance (spanning a few years), I actually find it sweet! (",)

Blessed release
From one's own
Self-made manacles
Broken through
Beyond the body
And embrace
Facing up to
mirror-face.

I was in London to watch "And then there were none" at the Gieglud Theatre, West End. My grandfather gave me this Agatha Christie novel when I was 10, and I just had to watch it on stage. Posted by Picasa

I don't want
a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing
I need I don't care about the presents
underneath the christmas tree I just want you
for my own More than you could
ever know Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas
Is
You

This is scary.

Like a prophecy from the movies.

Don't feel like going to my seminar later leh...prefer to stay home to finish by the deadline! same difference. besides, it's going to be on Dickens, which even my most esteemed professor said (in reply to those who professed to be fans of Dickens), "I rather prefer literature myself" *with a twinkle in his eye*. By the way, he looks like a lovable Santa Claus. ho ho ho

It's 8.30 am now. 4 hours more to decide.

Not only when the sleigh bells ring
